BEFuture has been awarded the Alimara Award for Digital Innovation, presented by the Barcelona School of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy, CETT (Catalan: Centre d'Estudis Tècnics Turístics), as part of the Alimara Barcelona Awards 2025. With this recognition, BEFuture establishes itself as a leader in European tourism innovation.

The project originated from an idea by the Catalunya Convention Bureau from the Catalan Tourist Board and was designed and written by BLINK. It is implemented in collaboration with Linkeus (France), VDVO (Germany), NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy), and the communications agency TIPIK (Belgium).

This recognition highlights the project's ability to use technology and innovation as drivers of change in the MICE sector (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions). BEFuture aims to transform the European MICE sector into a resilient and responsible industry. It fosters sustainable, inclusive events through an innovation space for co-creation, knowledge exchange, and new business models. Through its Acceleration Programme, BEFuture will provide small businesses that are advancing digitalization in the sector with funding, training, mentorship, and participation in business events (e.g. IMEX, IBTM World).

The CETT Alimara Barcelona Awards, organized by CETT in collaboration with B-Travel, UN Tourism, and the Department of Language Policy of the Government of Catalonia, celebrated their 40th edition this year, with a history of recognising over 500 innovative projects. This edition received more than 80 submissions, confirming the event as a key meeting point for professionals, companies, and institutions in the tourism sector.
